Bajaj Auto has updated a range of bikes with BS6 compliant engines.
Bajaj has updated the Pulsar 180F, 220F, NS 160, Avenger Street 160 and Dominar 400with a BS6 compliant engine. The Indian bike maker has also increased the pricing of the bikes considerably with this update.
The BS6 compliant Pulsar 180F now comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,07,827/- (all prices, ex-showroom). Compared to the BS4 model, the 180F is now Rs. 11,437/- more expensive. Powered by a 178.6cc fuel injected engine producing 17.02 PS of maximum power at 8500 RPM and 14.52 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM. Gets slightly more torque compared to the BS4’s 14.22 Nm. No other changes done to the bike.
The Pulsar 220F BS6 version is priced at Rs. 1,17,286/-. It is Rs. 9000/- dearer than the BS4 model. Powering the bike is a BS6 compliant 220cc fuel injected engine producing 20.4 PS at 8500 RPM and 18.55 Nm torque at 7000 RPM. Power is slightly less compared to BS4’s 20.9 PS output.
The Pulsar NS 160 BS6 is priced at Rs. 1,04,652/-. Compared to the BS4 model, the price has increased by Rs. 10,457/-. The BS6 compliant 160.3cc fuel injected engine produces 17.2 PS at 9000 RPM and 14.6 Nm torque at 7250 RPM. Power has increased from BS4’s 15.5 PS output.
The Bajaj Avenger Street 160 BS6 is priced at Rs. 94,893/-. There is a price increase of Rs. 11,600/- over the BS4 model. It comes with a 160cc fuel injected motor producing 15 PS at 8500 RPM and 13.7 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. Mild difference in torque output as the BS4 engine produced 13.5 Nm at 7000 RPM.
Bajaj Auto has marginally increased the pricing of the Dominar 400 BS6 by Rs. 1749/- at Rs. 1,91,751/-. Powered by a 373.3 cc fuel injected engine producing 40 PS and 35 Nm of torque. There are no changes at all in power and torque figures compared to the BS4 model.
