Triumph Scrambler 400 X

Bajaj Auto aims to sell 10,000 units of the 400cc Triumph range per month

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to introduce two new Triumph street bikes in the 400cc segment before the festive season this year, aiming to ramp up sales to 10,000 units per month. Reportedly, these models will feature updated designs and competitive price points to capture a larger market share.

Bajaj Auto will have the production capacity to manufacture 10,000 Triumph motorcycles each month by October. This move is part of the company’s strategic efforts to expand its footprint in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment.

Currently, Triumph’s 400cc range includes the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The forthcoming models are expected to be based on the same platform but with refreshed designs. Among these new entries, the Thruxton 400 is speculated to be one of the key models for the Indian market. This bike is anticipated to feature a retro design, reminiscent of the larger Thruxton, complete with a bubble-type fairing.

The Thruxton 400 is expected to be powered by a 398.15cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The identity of the second 400cc model remains undisclosed, adding an element of intrigue to Bajaj Auto’s upcoming launch.

With these new additions, Bajaj Auto and Triumph aim to bolster their presence in the competitive 400cc segment, appealing to enthusiasts looking for stylish and performance-oriented motorcycles.
