With the discontinuation of a few Discover models, Bajaj Auto is now gearing up to introduce an all-new range of commuter bikes.
Indian two-wheeler giant Bajaj Auto has an enormous share in the ever-growing market. The company has launched a slew of products in the country in the past few years. The Discover range of commuter bikes has been quite popular but the automaker launched so many different variants of the bike that eventually the consumer got confused and quite a few of the newer variants became duds. Now it has come to light that the company is gearing up to replace the Discover with an all-new model.
The said commuter brand is going to be launched in early 2016. The product will be offered in various versions ranging from 125cc to 150cc. It seems that Bajaj Auto has been developing this bike right from scratch and the bike will not have bland looks. In fact, it is said that the new commuter will have sporty looks and it will carry with itself a nice appeal. The new product will have more features than the Discover and it’ll also be a bit more pricier.
Bajaj Auto said that they made a mistake by launching too many variants of the same bike. We agree with what the automaker has said because if there are too many variants available of the same model and that too within a small price range, consumers are bound to be so confused that they would end up buying some other product altogether.
Bajaj Auto is not participating in the 2016 Auto Expo. We expect the bike manufacturer to unveil the new commuter brand slightly ahead of the expo and gather in some buzz for the new products. The biggest competitors for the new range of commuter bikes are the Honda CB Shine SP, Yamaha Saluto and the Hero Glamour.
