Bajaj Auto revenue for FY 2019-20 revealed. It is the leading 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler company in India with the highest revenue. The Pune based auto maker has overtaken Hero MotoCorp in terms of revenue.
Bajaj has reported a revenue of Rs. 29,919 crores in the financial year 2019-2020. Meanwhile Hero MotoCorp has reported Rs. 28,836 crores revenue.
In the financial year 2018-2019, Hero MotoCorp was ahead of Bajaj Auto with Rs. 33,651 crores revenue while the latter posted Rs. 31,899 crores. While the revenue has come down considerably this fiscal, it is Bajaj that has managed to come on top.
Bajaj has reported operating EBITA (Earnings before interest, taxes and amortisation) margins of 17.6 percent at Rs. 5253 crores. Their PBT (profit before tax) is Rs. 6580 crores. Compound annual growth rate of Bajaj Auto is 10 percent over the last decade (2010-20). Revenues are up from Rs. 11,509 crores in FY10 to Rs. 29,919 crores in FY20.
With the Pulsar range of bikes, Bajaj has been quite successful in their segment. They recently launched the Platina H-Gear and CT110 that further strengthened their growth in the Indian market.
Bajaj also leads in the Indian exports business. They account for over 50 percent of exports from the country for both 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers. They have a turnover of Rs. 11,845 crores in exports. 47 percent of their production was exported to over 79 countries in financial year 2019-2020.
With their new bikes coming up with KTM and their latest partnership with Triumph, Bajaj Auto is expected expand their presence across the globe along with their leadership in the domestic market of motorcycles and 3-wheelers.
