Audi Q8 Facelift Launched, Priced From Rs. 1.17 Crores

Audi Q8 facelift is available in eight exterior colours and four interior colours

Audi Q8 facelift launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 1.17 crores (ex-showroom). This update, while largely cosmetic, brings several new features to the luxury SUV, though it remains mechanically unchanged from its predecessor.

Key Updates in the Audi Q8 Facelift

The most significant enhancement in the facelifted Q8 is the inclusion of HD Matrix LED headlights, now equipped with laser technology for the high beam and customisable light signatures. The SUV also features a subtly updated grille, which now incorporates new octagonal apertures and ‘L’-shaped inserts, alongside reshaped air intakes on the bumper. The rear of the vehicle, although mostly similar to the outgoing model, boasts new digital OLED taillights with four selectable light designs, which work in harmony with the updated headlights.

The Q8 facelift is available in eight colour options – Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown and Vicuna Beige.

Interior Enhancements and Technology

Inside, the facelifted Q8 maintains a familiar layout, with changes focused on aesthetic elements such as new stitching patterns on the upholstery and refreshed colour schemes. It is available in four interior colour choices – Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black and Pando Grey.

The SUV continues to offer high-end features like Audi’s twin MMI touchscreens, four-zone climate control, a head-up display and seats that are not only heated and ventilated but also equipped with massage functions. Audi has also expanded the vehicle’s app store, now integrating popular third-party music apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. Additionally, the driver assistance systems have been upgraded, enhancing the vehicle’s overall safety and convenience.

Engine and Performance

The Q8 facelift in India continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine, which is coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This setup generates 340 HP and 500 Nm of torque. The powertrain is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels.

Pricing and Market Position

Priced at Rs. 1.17 crore (ex-showroom), the updated Q8 is Rs. 10 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model. While it doesn’t face direct competition, the Q8 facelift positions itself as a stylish alternative to more conventional luxury SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
