One of the leading German luxury carmakers, Audi, has launched its updated Q5 in India. The 2013 Audi Q5 facelift features new elements in design, new infotainment system, new assistance system and updated engines. The new Audi Q5 now offers two TDI diesel engines and one TFSI petrol engine with improved performance and 15% increase in fuel efficiency. According to Michael Perschke, Head Audi India, the new Audi Q5 looks sportier than its predecessor, more comfortable than before and multifunctional.
The updated Audi Q5 boasts of a sharper profile featuring re-styled Xenon plus headlights and a new homogenous treatment of the LED daytime running lights along with revised tail light treatment. The updated SUV is also offering an optional off-road style package for rugged appearance. The new engines being offered are 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine producing 211 BHP of power and 350 Nm of torque, 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine producing 170 BHP of power and 350 Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre TDI diesel engine churning out 240 BHP of power with 500 Nm of torque.
All three engines feature direct fuel injection system and turbo charging and are mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The SUV features Audi’s permanent all-wheel drive Quattro system with registered self-locking centre differential and torque vectoring. The SUV features a new electromechanical power steering, which has improved the steering feedback at higher speeds. The interiors feature Milano leather upholstery with two colors in beige and black. The new Audi Q5 will be available in 6 colors all over India, carrying a price tag of Rs. 43,16,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi).
