Audi has received positive response to the R8 in India. The company has now decided to launch the RS5 Coupe at a price of Rs. 1 crore. The 2011 RS5 Coupe is powered by a reworked 4.2 liter V8 engine (which also powers the R8) producing 444 bhp of power at 8250rpm and 43.96kgm of torque at 4000rpm. What this results in is a 0 – 100 kmph sprint in just 4.6 seconds and a top whack of 250kmph (limited). Featuring Audi’s Quattro 4WD system, the RS5 Coupe is mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and has drive select system, front splitter with bigger air intakes, 19-inch wheels (20-inch being optional) and a built in retractable spoiler (rises above 120kph). The RS5 Coupe will be launched by June, 2011 making it a direct competitor to the Mercedes C63 AMG.
