Ather Rizta price revealed, bookings commence, deliveries start from June 2024
Ather Rizta has finally made its debut as a family electric scooter with a starting price of Rs. 1,09,999/- for the Ather Rizta S with 2.9 kWh battery. Ather Rizta Z with 2.9 kWh battery is priced at Rs. 1,24,999/- and Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh battery is priced at Rs. 1,44,999/- (all prices, ex-showroom Bengaluru and introductory).
In terms of design, the Rizta exhibits a boxy and rounded silhouette, deviating from the sporty aesthetics seen in the 450 range. The styling is neutral to attract a wider audience. The LED headlight, integrated indicators and sleek tail-lamp contribute to its modern appeal.
While Ather offers the Rizta S in 3 monotone colours, the Rizta Z will be available in 7 colours which include 3 monotone and 4 dual tone colours.
One of the standout features of the Rizta is its traction control system, a first in the Indian electric scooter segment. This system, similar to those found in high-performance motorcycles, enhances stability and safety during rides. Additionally, the scooter boasts a combined 56-litre storage space (34-litre underseat capacity and an optional 22-litre Frunk accessory), making it convenient for users to carry their essentials on the go.
The under seat storage can also be fitted with an optional multi-purpose charger with an 18W power output, which can charge electronic devices.
The Rizta is offered in two variants, S and Z, catering to different preferences and requirements. While the S variant comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack, the Z variant offers both 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh options, providing users with flexibility in range and performance. Ather claims 105 km to 160 km riding range on full charge, depending on the battery capacity.
Both the battery packs of Rizta are IP67 certified. The electric scooter offers 400 mm of water wading ability. The claimed top speed of all variants is 80 km/hr.
Rizta Z features a backrest for enhanced comfort by providing lumbar support for the pillion. It is available as an optional extra for the S variant.
Riders can choose between two riding modes, Zip and SmartEco, offering either full performance or maximum range, respectively. The scooter also features useful additions like reverse gear, hill-hold and Magic Twist.
All three variants come with Ather’s 5 year optional warranty program, ‘Ather Battery Protect’ that extends battery warranty to 5 years/60,000 kms. This warranty program covers battery failures and also guarantees a minimum of 70% state-of-health for the battery at the end of 5 years.
For home charging, the Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9kWh battery come with a 350W Ather portable charger and the top end Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh battery comes with a 700W new Ather Duo charger. Rizta owners will also have access to Ather’s fast-charging network, with 1800+ fast charging points.
Bookings for the Ather Rizta are now open across all authorised dealerships, with deliveries scheduled to commence in June.
They have also expanded their product portfolio by stepping into the smart helmet category with the introduction of the Ather HALO product line. It is designed as a full-face integrated smart helmet that has been launched in partnership with Harman Kardon for high-end audio quality, auto WearDetect technology for enhanced safety and the ability to control music and calls directly from the scooter’s handlebar. Additionally, HALO incorporates Ather ChitChat, enabling communication between riders and their pillions.
In a bid to prioritize both functionality and safety, Ather has ensured the integration of critical sounds into HALO. The helmet’s wear detect technology further adds to its safety features by automatically recognising when it’s worn, facilitating connectivity with the scooter and smartphone.
Complementing the HALO lineup is the introduction of HALO Bit, a module compatible with Ather’s half-face helmets. This modular approach allows existing Ather helmet owners to upgrade their gear to smart status, ensuring accessibility to the benefits of Ather’s smart ecosystem. The HALO comes with an introductory price of Rs. 12,999/- and HALO bit is priced at Rs. 4999/-.
