Ather 450 Apex is a 10th year anniversary edition for the electric two-wheeler maker
Ather 450 Apex launched with a price tag of Rs. 1.89 lakhs (ex-showroom). Bookings for the scooter have commenced across the country. Deliveries of the 450 Apex will start from March 2024.
The Ather 450 Apex is available with a new Indium Blue colour option that features matte blue paint job with bright orange contrasting elements. It also gets a transparent panel over a painted orange chassis. Even the alloy wheels are finished in bright blue.
Ather has introduced a new riding mode, Warp+, that offers a 0 to 40 km/hr acceleration in 2.9 seconds. Ather claim it also gets an industry-leading reaction time of just 90 ms, making it the scooter with the fastest throttle response time, not just amongst ICE scooters but also amongst EVs as well.
The 450 Apex delivers peak torque of 210 Nm at the wheel, which they claim is nearly 25% higher than its closest competitor and the average 200cc ICE two-wheeler. With Warp+, Ather has increased the power levels of the 450 Apex by 10% so that the peak torque is sustained at higher speeds. This has resulted in a 30% faster 40–80 km/hr speed compared to the 450X.
With the increased motor power, the 450 Apex now has a top speed of 100 km/hr. It also gets a new UI experience which offers animation based on the power input.
Ather has also introduced Magic Twist regenerative braking feature that will be able to bring the scooter to a complete halt and works even at 100% battery charge. With the Magic Twist, users can brake with negative input on the throttle and it has 40% more braking force than any other 2W regen available in India. Users just need to throttle up to accelerate and throttle down to brake. Twist less to slow down and twist more to brake. It also improves the scooter’s range by up to 7% to 157 km (IDC range).
Ather has announced a Delight Kit for customers taking delivery of the 450 Apex. The Delight kit includes a handcrafted helmet in a blue-orange colour scheme, an inbuilt TPMS, a neck gaiter, an iron-on garment patch and a keychain.
The 450 Apex also comes with a 5-year or 60,000 km battery warranty and complimentary Ather Connect for 3 years.
