The performance car brand Aston Martin has launched the new Vantage in India, priced at Rs. 2.95 crores.
2018 Aston Martin Vantage launched in India, which is currently available in Mumbai and Bangalore. The Vantage has been one of the best selling models of Aston Martin across the globe. The British carmaker has nailed the design and performance of the new Vantage. It is priced at Rs. 2.95 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The design of the new Vantage has been inspired from its track-only sibling, the Aston Martin Vulcan. It gets ultra slim LEDs both at the front and at the rear. It has a new side gill for better aerodynamics. The overall silhouette of this supercar is just breathtaking.
The new interior has a cockpit feel, the seats get Alcantara and leather drape and it comes with a practical 300-litres of boot space behind the seats. There are 2 options for the seats – Sport and Sport Plus.
The Vantage is now powered with an all alloy 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 510 PS at 6000 RPM and 685 Nm of torque at 2000-5000 RPM. It is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, mounted at the rear. The Slimline wet sump system allows the front-mid engine to be mounted lower in chassis. The Vantage does the 0-100 km/hr in just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 315 km/hr.
The car is based on the next-gen Aston Martin platform which is an aluminium underframe, 70 percent of components bespoke to the Vantage. This car has an impressive dry weight of 1530 kg. It also gets 3 driving modes – Sport, Sport+ and Track. The new Vantage gets an electric rear differential (E-diff).
The new Vantage will be available in India today. It competes against the Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8 V10 and Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. Bookings are open from today in Mumbai and Bangalore.
