Just last month Aston Martin officially unveiled the AM310 Vanquish in Italy and now the British super car maker has launched the vehicle in India. The Aston Martin Vanquish has been launched for a price of Rs. 3.85 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This is the sixth Aston Martin vehicle to be available in India and the company has sold 40 units in the past one year (since launch). Other Aston Martin vehicles available in India include the Vantage, DB9, Vantage, DBS and One-77. The company brings these cars via the CBU route, which leads to exorbitant pricing.
The new Aston Martin Vanquish won’t be delivered to you by the end of the year. The company is taking bookings and will start deliveries around November. Sales of the new Aston Martin Vanquish will start in Europe at the same time, while the USA will get the new Vanquish in 2013. The new Vanquish is not a all new car, but instead a revised version of the old vehicle. Aston Martin launched the new Vanquish as part of its 100 year celebrations, which is next year. The new Vanquish comes at the right time as the One-77 is sold out and the DBS production will be stopped soon.
The Aston Martin Vanquish is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine which has significant upgrades from the old model. This 12-cylinder engine produces 573 PS of peak power output at 6750 RPM and 620 Nm of peak torque output at 5500 RPM. This results in a 0 – 100 km/h time of 4.1 seconds while the top speed is pegged at 293 km/h. You might not be able to unleash such kind of performance on Indian roads, but with track days happening occasionally at Buddh International Circuit, performance car owners now have a place to unleash their horses. The Aston Martin range starts at a price of Rs. 1.6 crore and goes up all the way to a whooping Rs. 20 crore.
