Naked version of the Aprilia RS 457 spotted testing for the first time
Aprilia RS 457’s naked version, which is likely to be called Aprilia Tuono 457, has been spotted testing in Europe. A few days back, the design head hinted the possibility of the naked version and now we can see the first spy shots of the test mule.
While the test mule appears to be a modern retro motorcycle, it is highly possible that the bike maker is testing the Tuono in a disguised avatar or they might be preparing to introduce an all-new product based on the 457 platform.
The new motorcycle is expected to be positioned below the Aprilia RS 457 in the bikemaker’s lineup undercutting the launch price of the RS 457, set at Rs. 4.1 lakhs (ex-showroom). While it is currently under development, the new bike is expected to be manufactured in India at Aprilia’s Baramati plant in India for the domestic and export markets.
The prototype motorcycle comes with an upside-down fork at the front and a box-section rear swingarm with a single shock absorber. It is expected to feature the same twin-cylinder engine producing 47.6 BHP and 43.5 Nm torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
