Aprilia’s new Terra 250 spied in production guise inside the factory.
The adventure motorcycle trend is at its peak not only globally but also in the Indian market. The adventure bike segment is finding more and more buyers in India and bike makers are coming up with more affordable ADVs.
One of the upcoming adventure motorcycles has been spotted, the Aprilia Terra 250. It has been spied inside the factory in its production guise for the first time.
The Chinese market has been getting the Aprilia Terra 125 and 150 but now they are readying a quarter-litre for their market. India launch is not yet confirmed but if Aprilia plans to introduce it in our country with an aggressive price tag, it will find a lot of takers.
The Aprilia Terra 250 is powered by the same engine that does duty in the Aprilia GPR250. It is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 26.5 PS at 9000 RPM and 22 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. However, the ADV might get a different tuning.
The spy pics suggest that the Terra 250 gets dual-purpose tyres, high ground clearance, long-travel suspension, spoke wheels, single-piece handlebar, side-slung exhaust, disc brake at both ends, etc. The riding position seems to be upright and relaxed.
You can also spot a red coloured Aprilia Terra 250 in the background if you looks carefully. The bike will compete directly against the KTM 250 Adventure.
