Aprilia SR 150 Carbon SE has been displayed at the Auto Expo, gets part-digital instrument console.
Aiming to grab a major chunk of the volumes market in India, Aprilia entered the performance scooter segment with the SR 150 in 2016. The scooter was quick to gather eyeballs which resulted in easy acceptability for the product. The Italian brand has showcased the Aprilia SR 150 Carbon SE at the Auto Expo along with some other offerings in the scooter portfolio. With this special edition, there are no mechanical changes although it looks entirely different from the regular SR 150 series.
The performance scooter features a carbon-fibre texture wrap on the front apron, top cowl and engine cover along with ‘Carbon’ insignia on the 14-inch alloy wheels and engine cover. The scooter comes totally dipped in matte black paint and gets minimalist red graphics to compliment the design. Powered by a 154.8cc, air-cooled and carburetted engine, the Aprilia SR 150 Carbon SE develops 9.9 HP of power at 6750 RPM and 10.9 Nm of torque at 5000 RPM. The SR 150 range now comes with a digital-analog instrument cluster.
Like the 120-section tyres, the fuel tank capacity remains unchanged at 6.5-litres. Suspension setup comprises of telescopic forks up front and single shock absorber at the rear, while braking is performed by a disc brake at the front and drum unit at the rear. Expect the scooter to make it to the showrooms soon as the company looks forward to pleasing its customers and grab greater market share.
