Aprilia SR 125 scooter has been launched at the 2018 Auto Expo at a price of Rs. 65,310/-.
Expanding its product portfolio gradually in India, Aprilia has launched the SR 125 scooter to supplement the more-powerful SR 150 in capturing market share. The automaker has participated in the 2018 Auto Expo with a handful of exciting products including the RS 150, Tuono 150 and Storm 125. Ever since its launch in 2016, the Aprilia SR 150 has been a hit among enthusiasts because of its distinctive appeal and premium brand image.
The Aprilia SR 125 is built on the same lines as it comes with an identical exterior with sleek body panels adorned with sporty graphics. A single-piece grab rail takes place of the split unit seen on the SR 150. Shod with 14-inch black alloy wheels, the scooter rides on 120-section tyres and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 6.5-litres. It is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, carburetted engine borrowed from the Vespa 125 which develops 9.5 HP of power at 7250 RPM and 9.9 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM.
The scooter gets telescopic forks up front and hydraulic shock absorber at the rear, while braking department is handled by a 220 mm front disc brake and a 140 mm rear drum brake. Instrument console is a simple analog unit with speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer. Priced competitively at Rs. 65,310/- (ex-showroom, Pune), the SR 125 will be a promising alternative for Aprilia fans and a worthy rival to the TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia 125 and the like.
