Aprilia RS 457 price revealed, bookings open from 15th December
Aprilia has officially launched the RS 457 in India with a price tag of Rs 4.1 lakhs (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). Despite the initial buzz around an introductory offer, it’s confirmed that this price point is here to stay.
The bike can be booked online as well as at the Aprilia Motoplex dealerships across the country with a token amount of Rs. 10,000. Bookings will commence from 15th December while deliveries of the bike will start in March 2024. Test rides will be available from January 2024.
Developed in Italy and produced entirely in India at Aprilia’s Baramati facility in Maharashtra. It will be available for both the domestic market as well as some international markets.
The Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 457cc, parallel-twin engine producing 48 HP. What sets it apart is the unconventional 270-degree firing order. The bike offers three riding modes – Eco, Rain and Sport – catering to a variety of riding preferences. Additionally, it comes with adjustable traction control system.
The engine is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. Enthusiasts can opt for a quickshifter as an additional accessory. The chassis mirrors the design of the larger RS 660, utilising an aluminium perimeter frame coupled with a USD fork and monoshock. The suspension is adjustable for preload on both ends.
The bike uses TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres of 110/70-R17 at the front and 150/60-R17 at the rear. Braking duties are handled by ByBre, featuring a 320 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc.
The Aprilia RS 457 will compete with the likes of KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 400. What are your thoughts on the pricing of this bike? Let us know in the comments section.
