Top-selling UVs In April 2022

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga registers impressive 72 percent growth

Toyota Vellfire registers highest growth among the competition in April 2022 UV Sales

The April 2022 UV sales turned out to be healthy with all the top-selling cars except Maruti Suzuki Eeco registering YoY growth. In fact, except Mahindra’s Marazzo, all the others have recorded double-digit growth.

The UV sales is getting unpredictable with each passing month as there’s heavy competition among the top 6 cars.

This time, however, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga came on top recording a total sales close to 15k units. It has also registered an impressive 72 percent growth thanks to the new model getting launched last month.

Maruti Suzuki’s Eeco came second bagging over 11k unit sales. But, this time, the entry-level MPV couldn’t replicate last year’s numbers. Sales have slightly come down owing to good competition from Renault Triber.

Toyota Innova Crysta has, at last, gained its lost ground as the popular MPV is back to recording its usual sales of over 6k units. Other than the brand’s Vellfire, it has recorded the maximum growth this time.

The newbie on the list, Kia Carens continues to impress in sales as it has sold 5754 units even beating the similarly priced Maruti Suzuki XL6. It has taken the fourth place pushing XL6 to the next spot.

But, the Nexa’s MPV has also performed well registering 29 percent growth.

Toyota Vellfire on fire

The Renault Triber took the sixth place registering 2910 unit sales followed by Kia Carnival, Mahindra Marazzo, and Toyota Vellfire each recording under 500 units. Though Marazzo has witnessed slight growth, its sales are no way close to the segment standards.

Surprisingly, despite its high price tag, Toyota Vellfire has sold more than 100 units. Buyers have even abandoned the German trio to get their hands on the MPV. It has posted triple-digit YoY growth.
