A Dominar rider caught up with the TVS Apache RR 310S at NH44 near Salem in Tamil Nadu.
Bajaj advertises the Dominar 400 as a motorcycle that is big on numbers, and yes it is one. A 373.3cc engine developing 35 HP and 35 Nm of torque is definitely big on the numbers front. The TVS Apache RR 310S is expected to get the same engine from the BMW G310R. The BMW G310R is powered by a 313cc single-cylinder engine producing 34 BHP. The TVS Apache 310 in comparison to the Dominar falls short in the displacement as well as is slightly lower on power.
A recently recorded video on the highway shows how a Dominar 400 rider tries to catch up with the TVS Apache RR 310S. The Dominar in spite of reaching speeds of over 150 km/hr was not able to catch the TVS Apache RR 310S. Just when the Dominar rider thought that he had the TVS Apache RR 310S near him, the Apache 310S just zoomed away. The Dominar rider caught up with the TVS Apache RR 310S near Salem highway in Tamil Nadu. The TVS Apache RR 310S was probably doing its test runs.
The Dominar 400 being a cruiser motorcycle isn’t meant to do great highway speeds. Being a cruiser one can just expect it to comfortably cruise around at say 120 – 130 km/hr on the highway. The Dominar 400 and the TVS Apache RR 310S are two different motorcycles aimed at two distinct buyers. The Apache RR 310S is fast probably because of its very sports bike nature and aerodynamics.
The Apache RR 310S including this has been spotted umpteen number of times and TVS is expected to launch the motorcycle in July 2017, priced around Rs. 2 lakhs.
