All-New Genesis GV70 Design Revealed Through Official Images
The stylish SUV will rival German carmakers and is expected to hit showrooms in the USA by early next year.
Genesis has revealed the exterior and interior design of the all-new GV70 SUV, which could well be the carmaker’s important model yet, through official images.
Only the second SUV model from the firm, after the GV80, the Genesis GV70 design is perhaps the most elegant example of the carmaker’s “Athletic Elegance” design language.
At the front, the brand’s Crest grille is flanked by quad headlights like other Genesis models, while a “Parabolic Line” runs from the front all the way to rear of the car along its sides.
Also, it has a coupe-like roofline, chrome window garnish, and at the back, we can find split quad tail lights, a roof spoiler, dual exhaust outlets placed in the deep rear bumper.
These official photos reveal that the 5-seater SUV will come in a standard version (as seen in brown and silver shades) and in a Sport version (shown in red).
The latter gets a slightly different front bumper, different 21-inch alloy wheels, black exterior trim and circular tail pipes.
On the inside, the GV70 looks plush, with the dash dominated by an oval theme as seen on the steering wheel and the controls beneath it, where a small display sits.
A huge infotainment display is present on top of the dash and there is a rotary knob on the center console with knurled finish to control it.
Powertrain details are not available yet, but there will be a 300 HP 2.5-litre turbo petrol and a 375 HP 3.5-litre V6 with rear- and all-wheel-drive options.
More details about the GV70 are forthcoming and when it gets launched in the USA, it will rival the Mercedes GLC, Audi Q5 and the BMW X3 and will likely undercut them in terms of cost.
