Land Rover has introduced a sportier version of the 2015 Range Rover Evoque called the ‘Autobiography Dynamic’ along with a new Autobiography trim. The new range topping Autobiography Dynamic variant gets a more powerful turbocharged engine producing 285 PS of power and gets an optimised chassis for enhanced performance. The all new variant also marks the debut of the Land Rover InControl Apps which will be available across all variants. The Autobiography Dynamic variant will be available in the international markets by the end of this year.
The 2015 Range Rover Evoque Autobiography Dynamic version gets a sporty visual as well as mechanical upgrade to make it distinctively different from the other trims on offer. The changes include a new premium grille design, lower front valance, jewel-like headlights and tail lamps and 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The Dynamic Evoque also gets a new body colour called phoenix orange added to the palette. On the inside the changes continue with the option of sports seats or premium climate seats, while the whole interior is wrapped in premium leather with six shades on offer.
The powertrain on the Range Rover Evoque has received a considerable upgrade providing dynamic performance to the SUV. A 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine has been upgraded to produce 285 PS of power and 400 Nm of torque and is mated to the very potent 9-speed ZF transmission. The increase in output is 44 BHP and 60 Nm, which is considerable. Stopping power has also been upgraded on the Dynamic Evoque with 350 mm front brake discs, while Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVB) is now standard equipment that helps reduce understeer and provide more responsive handling.
The Dynamic Evoque also gets a host of other upgrades which include an optimised chassis that features upgraded suspension geometry, firmer spring rates and re-calibrated adaptive dampers for increase in agility and turn-in response without hampering passenger comfort. The steering wheel has also been tuned for additional precision. Land Rover has also introduced the Active Driveline four-wheel drive system that improves traction, enhances agility and improves fuel efficiency by engaged four-wheel drive automatically when required and will be available as optional across the Evoque range.
Land Rover also introduced the InControl App, when downloaded enables the smartphone apps to be operated using the car touchscreen and is available with Apple and Android devices. The Range Rover Evoque is one of the most successful SUVs to come out of Land Rover’s stable. The SUV brings luxury and urban mobility together coupled with the distinctive Land Rover DNA under its luxurious body. Land Rover has sold over 2,70,000 units ever since the Evoque first went on sale in 2011.
