Tata Motors recently unveiled the Bolt and Zest. Both of them are very good looking cars and this comes as a big change since we are used to seeing boring and similar looking vehicles from the company. Tata Motors has displayed their vehicles at the 2014 Auto Expo and this also includes cosmetically tweaked versions of the Bolt hatchback and Zest sedan.
The Tata Bolt is a nice looking hatchback and the company has managed to improve its appeal significantly by adding a body kit to it. Also added is a spoiler at the rear, a black roof which resembles a panoramic roof and some attractive looking blackened alloy wheels. The B and C-pillars have also been blackened out to lend that sporty touch to the Bolt. The combination of black and red for the interiors looks classy as well. The automaker has also added red accents to the grille and ORVMs and finally with the projectors the overall theme looks amazing and doesn’t make the vehicle look weird or out of place.
The Tata Zest that has been displayed here has been given a nice matte grey paint job which looks very appealing. Here too, the vehicle gets gunmetal alloys and a gloss black finish on the body kit for the sporty touch. The red accents work well with the grey colour and we are happy that Tata Motors has not gone overboard and made the cars look tacky. We strongly feel the company should offer such limited editions on sale along with the regular models.
Tata Motors will launch the Bolt and Zest in the second half of the year. These cars will co-exist with the existing lineup with the Bolt being positioned above the Vista Tech and the Zest replacing the Manza in the near future.
