Audi has just displayed an open-top version of its latest premium compact sedan A3. This open-top version is called A3 Cabriolet and it looks very beautiful. This can be a very good option for those who want a convertible without paying as much as an expensive sportscar. The Audi A3 Cabriolet is a 2-door 4-seater vehicle. The A3 Cabriolet looks amazing in this dual-tone colour combo of red and silver.
The Audi A3 Cabriolet is available with three engine options – 1.4-litre TFSI petrol, 1.8-litre TFSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel. The 1.8-litre petrol engine is mated to a 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission (DSG) while the other two engines are mated to manual transmissions. The 1.4-litre TFSI engine comes with COD (Cylinder On Demand) function which shuts down two cylinders when not required. This helps a lot in aiding better fuel efficiency. Audi’s famed Quattro four-wheel-drive system is available as an option with this vehicle.
The Audi A3 Cabriolet is also loaded with some goodies like LED headlights, five airbags, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), ESC (electronic stability control), Audi MMI navigation plus system with a 7-inch screen, Bang and Olufsen speakers, WiFi hotspot, Driver Information System, adaptive cruise control, Audi Side Assist, Audi Active Lane Assist, traffic sign recognition, park assist and Audi pre-sense safety system. Audi has no plans to launch the A3 Cabriolet in India in the immediate future.
