UM Motorcycles has displayed four motorcycles at the 2014 Auto Expo. They are Duty, Sport and Commando which are a part of the Renegade Cruiser lineup and the Xtreet which is a part of the Sport lineup.
The UM Motorcycles Renegade Duty is a cruiser bike that is available with two engine options – 125cc and 150cc. The 125cc engine produces 10.79 HP of power and 9.15 Nm of torque while the 150cc engine is available with two power options – 11.85 HP and 9.81 Nm or 12.92 HP and 11.32 Nm. The engines are air-cooled and mated to a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension is a hydraulic telescopic unit while the rear is hydraulic with spring. Fuel tank capacity is 10-litres.
The Renegade Sport is also a cruiser bike that is available with three engine options – 137.8cc, 180.4cc and 196.4cc. These engines produce 10.97 HP and 10.53 Nm, 16.7 HP and 13.68 Nm and 15.22 HP and 14.67 Nm of power and torque respectively. All the engines are 1-cylinder 4-stroke and they are air-cooled and mated to a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension is hydraulic telescopic and the rear is hydraulic with spring. The maximum fuel tank capacity is 10-litres.
The Renegade Commando is the third cruiser bike that UM Motorcycles has displayed. It is powered by a 223cc 1-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled engine. The engine produces 18 HP of power and 15.5 Nm of torque and it is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The tyre sizes are 110/90/R16 and 130/90/R15 for the front and rear respectively. The front gets a disc brake while there is a drum at the rear. The maximum fuel tank capacity is 17-litres.
Now comes the Xtreet which is a part of UM Motorcycles’ Sport lineup. It is available in the following engine and power combinations –
1) 175cc engine producing 14.5 HP of power and 11.65 Nm of torque.
2) 196cc engine producing 16.1 HP of power and 13.96 Nm of torque.
3) 223cc engine producing 18 HP of power and 15.55 Nm of torque.
The engines are air-cooled and mated to a 5-speed transmission. The front suspension is a hydraulic telescopic unit while the rear features a monoshock. The manufacturer has added disc brakes both at the front and rear. The maximum fuel tank capacity is 16.65-litres.
UM Motorcycles was also going to display the Hypersport but unfortunately it has not yet got clearance from the customs department and hence it couldn’t be shown on the media days.
