Triumph had first showcased its products at the 11th Auto Expo in 2012 to the Indian buyers and is back this year showcasing its complete range in all its glory, ready for sale. The legendary British motorcycle maker launched its lineup in November last year and is looking forward to gaining ground in the premium motorcycle segment.
The Triumph stall has a host of attractions ranging from motorcycles to accessories, riding gear and memorabilia. The company has showcased all its 10 products which are currently on sale in the country. We give you a quick showdown of all the models on display at the Triumph stall.
Bonneville – The modern classic Bonneville combines the timeless looks of the golden era along with the practicality of today’s technology. The entry level Triumph is powered by an 865cc, air-cooled, fuel injected engine producing peak power of 67 BHP and 67 Nm of torque. The engine has been mated to a 5-speed transmission, while the front and the rear wheels are equipped with disc brakes. Prices for the Bonneville start at Rs. 5.7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Bonneville T100 – The Bonneville T100 on the other hand is based on the Bonneville itself and receives few cosmetic changes to differentiate from the latter. The wheelbase of the T100 is 2-inches longer than the standard Bonneville and was originally developed for the US market. The Bonneville T100 is priced at Rs. 6.6 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Triumph Thruxton – The third bike to spin off the Bonneville; it features the café racer styling and is available as a single seater. With the technical specifications the same as the Bonneville, the power has been increased to 68 BHP and the torque to 69 Nm; the bike has been built for performance. The Thruxton café racer is priced at Rs. 6.7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Street Triple – The Street Triple roadster is equipped with a 675cc triple-cylinder engine that churns out 107 BHP of power combined with a torque of 69 Nm. The Street Triple is equipped with a host of electronic goodies like engine immobilizer, LED turning lamps, ABS and much more. Prices for the Street Triple start at Rs. 7.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Speed Triple – The Triumph Speed Triple as the name suggests is designed for breakthrough performance and can tackle even the toughest corners with ease. It is also powered by a triple-cylinder engine but with a capacity of 1050cc producing 133 BHP of power and a superb torque of 111 Nm. The Speed Triple is priced for Rs. 10.4 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Daytona 675R – The super sports bike is one of the biggest attractions at the stall. The 675R is powered by a triple-cylinder 675cc engine producing 126 BHP of power and 74 Nm of torque. The Daytona 675R is considered as one of the best bikes in the history of Britain and competes with the Yamaha R6 globally. Triumph has priced at the Daytona 675R at Rs. 11.4 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Tiger 800 XC – The Tiger 800 XC is designed for off-roading enthusiasts. The motorcycle is powered three-cylinder engine producing 95 PS of power and 79 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike has been priced at Rs. 12 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Tiger Explorer – The Tiger Explorer is built for extreme adventure riding and offers state of the art features like cruise control and even a 12-Volt charging point. The off-roader is powered by a 1215cc 3-cylinder engine capable of producing 137 PS of power and 121 Nm of torque. The Tiger Explorer is for those who take the road less travelled. Triumph has priced it at Rs. 17.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Thunderbird Storm – Based on the original Thunderbird, the Thunderbird Storm is powered by 1700cc two-cylinder engine producing 98 BHP of power and is mated to a six-speed transmission, focused towards effortless cruising on the open roads. The cruiser offers adjustable suspension, ABS and self cancelling indicators amongst other features. The Thunderbird Storm is priced at Rs. 13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Rocket III Roadster – The iconic Rocket III roadster is the flagship offering from Triumph and comes with the biggest motorcycle engine in production in the world. The Rocket III is powered by a 2294cc three-cylinder engine churning out 146 BHP of power and 220 Nm of torque. The roadster can tour highways or just cruise around street with effortless ability. The Rocket III comes in as a CBU and is priced at Rs. 20 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Triumph’s first dealership opened recently in Bangalore and boasts of the company’s global signature layout. The UK based manufacturer will soon open dealerships in Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune in the coming months. The company will start deliveries later this month.
