Mercedes-Benz is currently leading the chart in India amidst the German trios fight to achieve maximum number of sales. The aggressive strategies being taken by the Stuttgart based luxury automaker is showing good results on monthly sales. Mercedes is now focusing on their after sales service in India, which is one of their initiatives from the ‘Year of Offense’ strategy. The ‘My Mercedes’ initiative aims at enhancing the overall customer ownership experience. There are several segment first as well as India first initiatives being taken under the ‘My Mercedes’ programme.
One of the India first initiatives is that the customer can do online service booking even through smart phones and tablets using scanned QR codes. They have also come up with National Remote Diagnostic Centre, where technical experts of Mercedes in Pune will assist technicians from any location in vehicle diagnosis through remote access. Mercedes claims that it’s the only luxury carmaker to provide three years of warranty as standard in India with its Star Care, a segment first initiative.
T&T Motors’ Gurgaon workshop is the largest Mercedes-Benz service facility in India that has 62,000+ sq. ft. of space with 28 dedicated bays and is capable of servicing 15,000 cars a year. Mercedes-Benz India is also offering round the clock on-road assistance for three years after vehicle purchase as standard. Along with it, they have launched 20 B-Class service vehicles equipped with specialised tools for road side assistance. The German carmaker is expecting to service a total of 1 lakh cars in India in 2013. Mercedes India is promising to ensure high quality training to their dealer staff. The company’s commitment to customer satisfaction is sure to please prospective buyers.
