Honda launched the Dream Yuga last year in the 110cc mass market segment targeting a wide audience. The manufacturer has managed to sell more than 3 lakh units of the Dream Yuga and in order to push the sales further, Honda has come up with a limited edition Dream Yuga. The special edition Dream Yuga gets dual tone colour treatment with optional accessories including 3D Honda emblem, body matching decal set for front cowl and front fender, body colored rear view mirrors and chrome finish muffler protector.
The limited edition Honda Dream Yuga comes with the same price as the standard version which retails at Rs. 45,164/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike features an air-cooled, 4-stroke, 109cc engine that produces 8.25 BHP of maximum power with 8.63 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. It is equipped with HET (Honda Eco Technology) and returns a claimed fuel mileage of 74 km/l. The key features of the Dream Yuga are tubeless tyres, viscous air filter and maintenance free battery.
Honda is betting big on the Dream series of bikes to get volumes in India. In this time of slowdown, when other 2-wheeler manufacturers are reporting decline in sales, Honda is able to record growth thanks to the increase in motorcycle sales caused by the Dream bikes (Neo and Yuga). For the first time in its India operations, Honda sold more motorcycles than scooters, which is a big achievement considering Honda gets major chunk of its volumes from the Activa scooter. The Honda Dream Yuga’s primary competitor is the Hero Splendor.
