Mercedes-Benz is on a massive product offensive. The company is leaving no segment untouched and is launching new products in a short span of time. After launching the facelifted E-Class last month, the company has now launched its performance version today, the E63 AMG at the Buddh International Circuit. Its interesting to know that Mercedes-Benz launched the E-Class facelift in India exactly a month back. Earlier this month, Audi launched the S6, which is a potential rival to Mercedes’ go-fast E-Class. The Mercedes E63 AMG is powered by a 5.5-litre V8 Biturbo engine that produces maximum power of 557 HP at 5500 RPM and a torque of 720 Nm at 1750-5250 RPM. The transmission has four modes to chose from – C (Controlled Effieciency), S (Sport), S+ (Sport Plus) and M (Manual). Mercedes claims that this engine remains the most efficient series production V8 around, delivering 10.20 km/l of fuel efficiency.
The Mercedes E63 AMG comes with AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre package which includes the A-wing of the AMG front apron, inlays in the AMG sides skirts and the carbon finished top section of the AMG rear apron. The interiors of the E63 AMG gets treated with Nappa leather upholstery. The all black interiors get grey contrasting stitching all around to add to the sporty appeal of the performance sedan. The car gets equipped with ECO start/stop function, LED intelligent headlamps, reversing camera, active park assist, Comand system, rear seat entertainment, attention assist, 8 airbags and much more.
