The current slowdown in the Indian automobile industry has led each and every manufacturer to come up with different kinds of offers in order to increase sales. Even Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest carmaker is trying its luck with new schemes every month. To attract car buyers, the automaker has come up with a new limited period offer called ‘Diesel Delight’. The limited period offer is available with the popular Swift hatchback, Swift DZire, Ertiga and the Ritz. The Diesel Delight offer period lasts only till 24th of May 2013.
Maruti Suzuki is luring customers by giving away 100 litres worth of diesel for free on each booking. That means, according to the current diesel price in Delhi, the automaker is providing diesel worth Rs. 4969/- for free and with a fuel tank capacity of 42-litres in the Swift, you can completely top up the car twice. Along with the Diesel Delight offer, Maruti Suzuki is also offering an additional exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000/-. It is yet to be known whether the discount deals are being offered officially by Maruti Suzuki or their dealerships.
The automobile industry can feel the shift in demand from diesel powered cars to petrol cars currently, as petrol prices are coming down, while the diesel prices are shooting up frequently, hence the new scheme for diesel cars from the Maruti Suzuki stable. In addition to the increase in diesel prices and decrease in petrol prices, the Indian car market is facing a big slowdown, which means that car buyers are finding petrol powered cars a much feasible option in the current economic scenario.
