British based hand built carmakers, Profusion Exotic Cars has introduced the single seat open wheel sports oriented car, Profusion Typhoon. The crazy little car is ready for pre-orders in India and the company is likely to commence deliveries in the second half of this year. The manufacturer is currently looking for RTO approval in order to make this vehicle road legal in India. The Profusion Typhoon competes with the likes of the Ariel Atom, which is a road legal open wheel sports car available in India.
The Profusion Typhoon is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol motor, which is capable of producing a maximum power of 145 BHP with a maximum torque of 188 Nm. The vehicle offers impressive driving dynamics with an ultra light kerb weight of 630 kgs and a mind boggling power to weight ratio of 230 BHP per tonne. Expect the Typhoon to handle like a go-kart. For further more thrilling and raw driving experience, the Typhoon doesn’t come equipped with any electronic assists and gizmos except for the push button start system. Buyers can customize their Typhoons with a choice of seat colour, brake caliper colour, brake disc pattern, rear wing colour, wheel arch shape, colour matched helmet and steering options. The manufacturer is also considering introducing cheaper versions and a track version of the Typhoon. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 55 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).
