Hyundai India has launched its first ever cross-country drive named ‘i-Drive India’ to promote its new special edition i-Tech i10. The event was flagged off on 5th of March at Hyundai Motor Plaza in New Delhi. This cross-country drive has been set alongside the Golden Quadrilateral, thus giving the participants an opportunity to experience a variety of cultures, landscapes and finally a memorable trip to cherish for life.
“We are delighted to launch the first edition of Hyundai’s cross country drive i-Drive India with the special edition of our most successful car i10,” Nalin Kapoor, Group Head, Marketing, Hyundai India, said.
This 25 days long trip will cover a distance of more than 9000 kms. The route covers bumpy mountainous terrains, smooth high-ways, traffic filled roads as well as beaches. This cross-country drive is a showcase of what the new i-Tech i10 is capable of. The special edition was launched in the last month to celebrate the company’s achievement of 12 lakh happy i10 customers. The new version comes with many new features added to both the interiors as well as the exteriors.
Hyundai is found immense success with the i10 and is looking at bringing in a sub 4-metre sedan version of the car in the future. The Korean car maker is also working on the next generation i10 which will be produced both in India and Turkey. The current i10 will continue to be on sale even after the new i10 is launched. Thus the new i10 will be renamed, just like Hyundai renamed the new Accent as the Verna for the Indian market.
