Italdesign Giugiaro is an automobile designing and engineering company based in Italy. The company has been working together with the Volkswagen Group. Italdesign Giugiaro has now come up at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new roadster, Parcour, which is named after the French sport of moving very fast irrespective of the terrain. According to the manufacturer, it is an all-terrain capable roadster based on the Gallardo. The Parcour comes equipped with four different settings including Off-road, Comfort, Ice and Sport to adapt the vehicle to its surroundings.
Being a sports car, the Parcour boasts a muscular look with a hint of some SUV and crossover styling elements. The roadster comes fitted with 20-inch wheels and can be raised up from the ground for better ground clearance depending on the terrain and settings from 210 mm to 330 mm. It is a 2-seater car and the manufacturer has plonked in a Lamborghini 5.2-litre mid-rear V10 engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 550 HP, mated to 7-speed automatic transmission.
The mid-engined roadster has a 4-wheel drive setup with a capability of doing 0-100 km/hr sprint in 3.6 seconds. The interiors feature Plexiglass dashboard with fancy LEDs and ambient lighting that adjust depending on the terrain settings with a LCD monitor integrated with GPS functionality, few controls and information display for the car. The two seats inside the cabin are fixed and the driver can adjust the adaptable steering column and pedal unit for better comfort. All in all, it is a practical roadster or if you would like to say, a Lamborghini Gallardo SUV.
