Maruti Suzuki has launched a special edition of the Estilo, called the Estilo ‘Nlive’, which is offered in a new Breeze Blue colour. The Estilo has been quite a market dud and it seems India’s largest car manufacturer is trying hard to give it a bit of enlivenment to get at least a few more sales before it pulls the plug on the product. It is expected that the Estilo will be discontinued in the near future by Maruti along with the A-Star and a single new small car will replace them both,, which will be launched in the coming months.
The Maruti Suzuki Nlive gets many new features as standard to make it a more attractive product. On the exterior it gets special ‘Nlive’ decals, ‘dynamic wrap’ body style graphics, body coloured mud flaps and full wheel covers. The interior is where it really gets a host of upgrades. There is a new 2-din JVC music system with USB and 16-cm dual-cone speakers. The seats are draped in quilted art leather seat covers with mesh style back seat pockets. The Nlive also gets customized cusions.
The Maruti Suzuki Estilo Nlive gets a dual-tone steering wheel cover, special beige carpet mats with the ‘Nlive’ logo and a rear parcel tray which too is finished in beige. All these accessories and cosmetic enhancements do make the Estilo look better and add a more plush and classy feel to the interior. But whether it will really gives a boost to the sales of the car is something that only time can tell. The company is also offering heavy discounts on the vehicle.
The Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo is powered by a 1.0-litre K-Series petrol engine which produces 68 PS and 90 Nm, returning an ARAI certified mileage of 19 km/l. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Estilo ‘Nlive’ is priced at a Rs. 15,000/- premium over the regular model. Maruti Suzuki claims the vehicle has Rs. 23,000/- worth of accessories, thereby offering more for less to the buyer.
