TagAZ is a Russian based automobile manufacturer, founded in 1997. The automaker will be rolling out a new 4-door coupe, the TagAZ Aquila for the market soon. The TagAZ Aquila has entered production, bookings have started and deliveries are expected to commence from March this year. Initially, the Aquila will be offered with a 1.6-litre powertrain, which can produce a maximum power output of 107 HP, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The TagAZ Aquila 4-door coupe comes equipped with airbags, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, full power accessories, head unit, alarm system, leather seats and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Aquila is developed on the platform of a Korean car. The manufacturer is also planning to roll out new models next year including a more powerful version churning out 150 HP of maximum power and will be mated to an option of a manual transmission as well as an automatic transmission.
The TagAZ Aquila will be sold only in the Russian car market and we don’t expect the carmaker to introduce the 4-door coupe in the Indian market. The TagAZ Aquila is priced at 4,15,000 Russian Rubles (Rs. 7.44 lakhs), which makes it quite a well priced 4-door coupe offering good amount of power and adequate list of features. Let’s wait and watch to see how the Russian automaker copes with the product’s sales amidst stiff competition.
