Mazzanti is the latest and one of the most exclusive supercar companies to come out of Italy. The first Evantra was launched last year, which had a 3.5-litre flat-six engine with a naturally aspirated version producing 403 HP and a twin-turbo version producing 603 HP. Only 5 cars were ever produced. But now they have launched an updated version that features many changes to make the car better, most important of which is a huge V8 under the bonnet, giving it very good performance.
The new engine is a 7.0-litre V8 producing 701 HP of power and 846 Nm of torque. It is an all aluminum engine which sports a compression ratio of 11.0:1, a dry sump and titanium valves and connecting rods. The gearbox is a bespoke design from the company Sila which is uses robotized paddle shifts on the steering wheel. This rear wheel drive monster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds. This car also uses two new chrome roll cages, one under the roof and another that connects the engine to the suspension, making the structure of the car more rigid, ultimately improving handling and stability.
On the exterior, the Evantra gets a new rear wing. This new Mazzanti supercar uses 20-inch wheels from OZ with 255/30 tyres up front and 305/25 tyres at the back. The brakes used are from Brembo with 380-mm disks and 6-piston calipers at the front and 360-mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the back. Coming to the interior, the Evantra gets soft aniline leather as standard, but customer car customize the car as per their wish with any type of materials and styling as they please.
The instrument cluster is in the centre which is a racing-speck data acquisition system and provides the driver with all the necessary information about the car like a race car. The steering wheel, which is from Nardi, has a display which shows the gear the car is running in. The Evantra gets a Bosch infotainment system on the centre console which controls the audio and navigation system. There is a selector on the lower side close to the driver to select the driving mode. The driver can change the engine and gearbox responses by selecting ‘Strada’ or road mode or ‘Corsa’ or track mode.
