General Motors will be launching a slew of products in the coming months. The American automaker will also give its existing vehicles a minor update, thereby increasing the perceived value of their offerings. At the upcoming Paris Motor Show, GM will unveil the Chevrolet Spark facelift. The Beat sold in India is called the Spark globally and we might get a few of these changes too. The minor changes to the Beat make it look fresh and attractive.
On the outside, the 2013 Chevrolet Beat looks so much more striking. The small touches at the front are indeed note worthy and increases the appeal of the car quite a bit. The front grille, bumper, head light and fog lights have been given a slight re-design. The interiors too have received changes and looks so much better now. The beige inserts on the dashboard give the vehicle a very airy feeling, while the new centre console has more storage. GM is set to give the Beat a minor facelift in the Indian market later this year and we hope the changes are similar to the model shown here.
Engine options on the updated Chevrolet Beat remain the same as the old model and the company has not altered the 1.0-litre diesel or 1.2-litre petrol engines. GM will also unveil the Trax compact SUV at Paris next month. The vehicle is a very important product for many markets. The Chevrolet Trax might make its way to the Indian market next year, thereby competing with the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport. It remains to be seen how GM position the Trax, as the company would already have two UVs around similar price points.
