The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is known for good rear seat comfort, but what if you want more? Presenting the E-Class Limousine, which is a caaaaaaar in every sense of the word. We spotted this E-Class limo in Mumbai, which is based on the regular E350 CDI. The vehicle has no mechanical changes and sports the same wheels as the regular E-Class. However the modifier has increased the length by a good three feet, increasing interior room drastically in the progress. No changes have been made to the styling of this car, which looks like a regular E-Class from all other angles (except the side ofcourse).
We are unaware about what has gone inside the Mercedes E-Class limo but we suspect the owner must have got the best bit of entertainment for rear passengers. We are also unsure as to why the middle doors have two windows on each door, rather than one large window. Driving this car in traffic can be a huge task, as judging the length while maneuvering is almost close to impossible. The rear compartment would certainly have been separated to ensure privacy for the rear occupants. We have no clue as to who did these modifications but such kind of work is not easy to carry out. While it just looks like a longer E-Class, the vehicle has to be split form the center and the extra body has to be carefully attached to ensure the rear-wheel drive E-Class functions properly.
This particular Mercedes E-Class is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which produces 210 BHP of peak power at 4000 RPM and 490 Nm of peak torque between 1600-1800 RPM. The engine is mated to a 7G-TRONIC gearbox. With added weight, even BlueEFFICIENCY measure won’t help and one can safely assume this E-Class to deliver 4-5 km/l. If one really wants a 6-door transport, why chose a car? A bus would be a better option and you won’t even lose your warranty!
