Maruti Suzuki’s love for limited edition variants continues as the company has just launched the Swift Alpha. The Swift Alpha is available with a host of features at the same price, offering Rs. 8000/- worth of features to the buyer. But why would Maruti Suzuki think of selling a limited edition version of a car, which already commands a 4.5 months waiting period? Well Maruti Suzuki is quite smart and the Swift Alpha is available only in VXi variant. Only 20% of Swift sales are of petrol powered cars and in order to promote them, Maruti has resorted to limited edition.
