Bajaj Auto has increased prices of spare parts for its bikes. There has been no official announcement on the same and owners who have been getting their bikes serviced for quite some time now can testify the same. The prices of the fairing, tank, side panels, silencer and clip-ons have shot up by Rs. 200-300, while service consumables including air/oil filter, spark plugs, cables, coils, cone sets, brake pads see a slight increment of Rs. 10-20. With increase in input costs, the prices of parts will also become expensive but such a high percentage increase will not be taken well by consumers.
Bajaj Auto will launch the Pulsar 200 Naked Sport in April 2012. Some of the parts are shared with the KTM Duke 200 and prices of spare parts for the next generation Pulsar is something we all are waiting to see. Bajaj Auto has dropped the idea of adopting fuel injection on the all new Pulsars and rightly so, as the maintenance can be quite difficult, with showrooms not having the expertise to manage the complications of the ECU. Bajaj Auto recently recalled the Pulsar 220 DTS-i to fix starter motor relay.
