The country’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki is foraying for the first time into the MUV segment of the Indian auto industry with its product Ertiga. The company had formally unveiled the model at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo to give the visitors a feel of what they are going to expect in coming months. An official launch of the model is expected to happen sometime in the month of March this year. However, even before the launch of the product officially into the Indian market, the company has made up its plans to sell it in other countries like Indonesia.
The marketing team of the company seems to have already finalized on the kind of offering the company is going to give to the Indonesian customers. A brochure claiming “are you ready for a stylish car” has also leaked on the internet and we bring you pictures of the same. The brochure provides some insights on both the exterior and interior of the vehicle and how different it is going to be from the Indian model.
From the exterior, the Indonesian Suzuki Ertiga looks very similar to the Indian model though the brochure only reveals the side profile of the vehicle. On the interiors also, things appear to remain almost the same. The Indonesian Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also be powered by the same all new 1.4-litre K-series gasoline engine and a 1.3 litre Fiat sourced DDiS diesel engine. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox which sends power to the front wheels. Since the brochures are almost done, the launch of the Suzuki Ertiga in Indonesia is expected to be around the corner, preferably in April or May.
