The 7th CNBC AWAAZ Storyboard Consumer Awards was held in Mumbai on the 21st of October. The Awards by Jury have been adjudged by an Eminent Citizen panel which comprised of S Y Quraishi; Chief Election Commissioner, Karan Johar, Film Maker; Harsha Bhogle; Cricketer and Anuradha Sengupta, Editor, Storyboard. Before going to the brands that were awarded on this occasion, for those of you who are not aware, the ‘Storyboard’ is a programme that deciphers and analyses the marketing functions of brands and observes closely their businesses came together with ‘CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards’ that identifies and felicitates the best performing brands across categories. The first year of this marriage has seen a host of new categories, more analysis and deeper insights. CNBC AWAAZ Storyboard Consumer Awards 2011 has set new benchmarks for brands across India by bringing together consumer recommendations and expert opinions under one forum and identifying brands that have excelled in both the spheres.
This time, the CNBC Awards had mainly 3 categories: Awards by Popular Choice which explored consumer recommendations, the Awards by Jury and the Special Commendation Awards which identified the best marketing or brand initiatives of the year. In the Automobile sector, under Awards by Popular Choice category, Maruti Suzuki was awarded the Most Recommended Four Wheeler Brand of the Year while Hero Moto Corp was awarded the Most Recommended Two Wheeler Brand of the Year. Hero also got another award, Effective & Successful Rebranding for a Corporate Entity under the Special Commendation category. The complete list of awards won by different brands is shown below.
