Ultraviolette UVLYNC unlocks access to AC car charging stations for two-wheelers

Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has introduced a new charging solution called UVLYNC, designed to enhance charging flexibility for electric two-wheeler users. The device, priced at Rs. 2999/-, allows electric two-wheelers to be charged at AC car charging stations, significantly improving accessibility for EV riders.

Bridging the Charging Gap

One of the key challenges for electric two-wheeler owners has been the limited availability of dedicated charging infrastructure. UVLYNC addresses this issue by enabling two-wheelers to connect to Type 2 AC chargers, which are typically used for electric cars. This innovation allows riders to tap into over 4000 AC charging stations across India, along with an extensive network of over 1 lakh Type 2 charging points.

Universal Compatibility

Unlike some proprietary charging solutions, UVLYNC is compatible with chargers from any manufacturer. The device attaches to a standard two- or three-pin socket, making it adaptable to a wide range of electric two-wheelers. This inclusivity ensures that the technology benefits not just Ultraviolette’s F77 motorcycle owners but also riders of other electric two-wheelers in India.

Availability and Future Expansion

Currently, UVLYNC is available at Ultraviolette dealerships, with plans to expand sales through the company’s official website in the near future. By launching this product, Ultraviolette aims to contribute to the growth of India’s EV ecosystem by providing practical charging solutions that extend the range and convenience of electric two-wheelers.

With the demand for electric mobility on the rise, innovations like UVLYNC could play a crucial role in making EV adoption more seamless and accessible for a broader audience.
