Kia has unveiled the facelifted version of the EV6 at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The refreshed crossover, ahead of its launch in May this year, comes with an updated exterior and interior as well as a larger battery which will boost its practicality and usability.
Exterior Enhancements
Kia EV6’s design receives minor changes, mainly at the front. The EV6 is longer with an extended overhang to enhance proportions. This results in the overall design being sportier. There are also new headlights with triangular “Star Map Signature Lighting” Daytime Running Lights. The side profile isn’t changed but the wheels are redesigned with larger 21-inch rims! The rear taillights are also redesigned to comprehend the sporty aesthetic.
Revised Interior
The interior has remained unchanged with small but effective changes. There is a revised steering wheel design, housing an integrated biometric fingerprint sensor. The interior also has two 12.3-inch dual-screen displays which are curved, adding to the modern design.
There are plentiful features to cater to the whims and fancies of buyers such as a digital rear-view mirror, updated AR Heads Up Display, Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 15W Wireless Phone Charger, Remote Park Assist 2 with a new 2.0 Digital Key! In terms of safety, the EV6 packs ADAS functions in addition to 7 Airbags, Electronic Stability Control and 360 Degree Parking Camera.
Powertrain
The updated EV6 is powered by an 84 kWh battery pack (up from 77 kWh) for the higher variant and a 63 kWh battery pack (up from 58 kWh). The maximum range on the EV6 is 650 Km as a result! The dual-motor AWD delivers 325 HP and 650 NM of torque. The EV6 is equipped with an 800V Charging system that allows the vehicle to charge from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes! A 15-minute charge can give a range of up to 343 km.
Pricing & Market Position
The Kia EV6 starts from Rs. 60.96 Lakh (ex-showroom) and it is expected that the facelifted version will command a premium. The EV6 will face a lot of competition starting with its sibling, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 as well as the likes of Mercedes EQA, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and BMW iX1.
