Mahindra BE 6e Price

Mahindra BE 6e introductory price revealed, deliveries start by March 2025

Mahindra BE 6e launched with an introductory price starting from Rs. 18.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). This launch marks the debut of Mahindra’s electric-only BE sub-brand, alongside the unveiling of the XEV 9e. The BE 6e, which retains much of its radical concept design, promises an ARAI-certified range of up to 682 km, 281 HP of power and a 0-100 km/hr sprint time of just 6.7 seconds. Deliveries are expected to commence in late February or early March 2025.

The BE 6e is the first product from Mahindra’s newly established BE electric vehicle lineup. This sub-brand will expand with future models previewed by the BE.07 and BE.09 concepts. For now, the BE 6e is available in a single rear-wheel drive configuration, with additional variants and pricing details expected to be revealed at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025.

Design Highlights

The BE 6e stays true to its bold concept, showcasing sharp, edgy styling that includes pronounced wheel arches, dual-tone finishes and distinctive illuminated logos. Key features include:

  • Front Design: A prominent air duct between the headlamps, which channels air through the bonnet for efficiency.
  • Lighting Elements: C-shaped LED daytime running lights, full-width wraparound tail-lights, and a split rear spoiler.
  • Aerodynamics: A diffuser-like rear bumper and 19-inch aero-optimized wheels, with an option for 20-inch wheels.
  • Dimensions: Measuring 4371 mm in length, 1907 mm in width and 1627 mm in height, the coupe-SUV has a 2775 mm wheelbase, 455 litres of boot space and 45 litres of additional storage in the frunk.

Interior

The BE 6e’s cabin is as futuristic as its exterior. The interior is split by a halo-like trim around the driver, creating a cockpit-like ambiance. Other standout features include:

  • Technology: Dual 12.3-inch floating screens powered by Mahindra’s new MAIA software with over 30 pre-installed apps.
  • Augmented Reality HUD: A segment-first head-up display that enhances driving convenience.
  • Unique Controls: Aircraft-inspired thrust lever for drive modes and an overhead control panel for lighting and sunroof adjustments.
  • Features in Top Variants: Dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof with mood lighting, Harman Kardon 16-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system, 5G connectivity, ADAS Level 2 and 360-degree cameras.

A novel BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) feature allows passengers to mount external devices on the front seatbacks to stream content.

Battery, Performance and Charging

The BE 6e comes with two battery options – 59kWh and 79kWh – based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry. These are built on Mahindra’s modular INGLO platform, utilising BYD’s blade cell technology.

  • Power Outputs: The 59kWh variant delivers 228 HP, while the 79kWh unit offers 281 HP. Both provide 380 Nm of torque.
  • Range: The larger battery offers an ARAI-claimed range of 682 km and a WLTP range of 550 km.
  • Charging: With a 175kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Customers can also opt for 7.3kW or 11.2kW AC chargers.

Driving Dynamics

The BE 6e offers three drive modes—Range, Everyday and Race—catering to varied driving conditions. It also features regenerative braking, semi-active suspension, brake-by-wire technology and all-wheel disc brakes.

As Mahindra gears up for deliveries in early 2025, the BE 6e aims to establish a strong foothold in the growing electric vehicle market.
