Mercedes AMG G63 Facelift Price

Mercedes AMG G63 first batch of 120+ units sold out, bookings open for Q3 2025

Mercedes AMG G 63 facelift launched in India with a starting price of Rs 3.60 crores (ex-showroom). The facelifted model brings a host of upgrades, including mild-hybrid technology, revised exterior styling and enhanced interior features.

Key Design and Feature Updates

The 2024 AMG G 63 receives subtle cosmetic changes. Up front, it sports a redesigned bumper with vertical slats and a dark chrome finish on the radiator grille. Aerodynamic improvements have been made, such as slightly rounded A-pillars and a new lip on the windscreen, helping reduce NVH levels. At the rear, a carbon-fiber spare wheel cover is available as an optional feature.

The SUV also now includes keyless entry for the first time, which required significant re-engineering without altering the iconic G-Class door handles.

Interior and Tech Enhancements

Inside, the G 63 sees major updates with the inclusion of the MBUX infotainment system, previously seen on the GLS facelift. It features two 12.3-inch digital displays for driver information and infotainment, which is now touch-responsive. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard and the system is paired with an 18-speaker, 760-watt Burmester sound system.

Other notable additions include a revamped off-road control centre on the dashboard, temperature-controlled cup holders, a wireless mobile charging pad and a new AMG performance steering wheel. Buyers can also choose from 31 unique MANUFAKTUR upholstery options and 29 MANUFAKTUR paint finishes.

Mild-Hybrid Powertrain

A significant mechanical upgrade is the introduction of a 48V mild-hybrid system, which is paired with the existing 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 585 HP and 850 Nm of torque, with an additional 22 HP from the mild-hybrid system. Power is managed through a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

The G 63 now offers an optional AMG Active Ride Control, Mercedes’ advanced suspension system designed to improve handling without anti-roll bars. It comes standard with the AMG Performance package, which increases the top speed to 240 km/hr and includes a launch control feature. The facelifted model achieves 0-100 km/hr in just 4.3 seconds.

Off-Road Capabilities and Wheel Options

Despite the focus on luxury and performance, the off-road prowess of the G 63 remains intact. It boasts a 229 mm ground clearance, 700 mm water-wading depth, a 31-degree approach angle and stability on inclines of up to 35 degrees. Optional 22-inch alloy wheels with a center-locking mechanism add to the rugged appeal.

India Delivery Timeline

Mercedes-Benz India has already received strong demand for the facelifted AMG G 63. The first batch of 120 units is reserved and new customers can expect deliveries by the third quarter of 2025.
