Royal Enfield to replace defective side and rear reflectors of the affected bikes
Royal Enfield, one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers, has initiated a global recall across its entire product lineup due to a potential issue with sub-standard reflectors. The company has identified that the reflectors installed on the rear and/or sides of certain models might not meet the required reflective performance standards.
Although Royal Enfield has not disclosed the exact number of motorcycles impacted by this recall, it has confirmed that the affected bikes were produced between November 2022 and March 2023. Currently, all 11 motorcycles in the company’s portfolio are subject to this recall. However, Royal Enfield reassured customers that only a small number of motorcycles have shown this issue.
As part of the recall process, Royal Enfield will directly contact the affected customers in a phased manner. These customers will be asked to bring their motorcycles to the nearest service centre, where the side and rear reflectors will be replaced at no cost. The replacement procedure is expected to take around 15 minutes.
The recall is applicable across several regions, including India, Brazil, Latin America, Europe, the UK, South Korea, Canada and the US. Royal Enfield’s swift response to addressing the issue reflects its commitment to customer safety and product quality.
