Skoda Kushaq facelift to get new features including ADAS

Skoda has started testing the facelifted version of Kushaq and recent spy shots offer a glimpse into what changes the updated model might bring. The test vehicle was seen with substantial camouflage on both the front and rear, suggesting that these areas will see the most notable updates.

Exterior Updates

One of the key highlights expected in the new Skoda Kushaq facelift is the inclusion of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). A visible sensor on the air dam hints at this significant technological upgrade. Other expected changes include a redesigned grille, tweaked projector headlamps, refreshed front, rear bumpers and a reworked tailgate. Additionally, the facelifted version could feature new alloy wheels, further distinguishing it from the outgoing model.

Interior Enhancements

Inside, the refreshed Kushaq is expected to feature new upholstery and possibly ventilated seats to enhance comfort. The current version already comes well-equipped with a variety of features such as an electric sunroof, a fully digital colour instrument cluster, an auto-dimming IRVM, a two-spoke steering wheel and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Powertrain and Performance

The Kushaq facelift is likely to retain its existing powertrain options, with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. These engines are currently paired with a choice of a six-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter automatic and a seven-speed DSG gearbox. However, the six-speed manual transmission, which was previously discontinued for the 1.5 TSI variants, might make a return with this update.

Expected Launch

The refreshed Kushaq is expected to debut in the second half of 2025, entering a competitive market that includes rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, etc. More details are likely to emerge as testing continues and Skoda provides official information.

The addition of ADAS and other updates could further solidify the Kushaq’s position in the Indian SUV market, offering both tech-savvy features and a refreshed design for potential buyers.
