2024 Aston Martin Vantage

2024 Aston Martin Vantage launched in India, deliveries to commence in Q4 2024

2024 Aston Martin Vantage launched in India with a starting price of Rs. 3.99 crores (ex-showroom). The new Vantage features a host of updates both under the hood and within its interior. Deliveries for the new model are set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Power and Performance

The new Vantage is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, sourced from Mercedes-AMG. This engine has been tuned to produce 665 HP and 800 Nm of torque, a notable increase from the previous model’s 510 HP and 685 Nm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This results in impressive performance figures, with the new Vantage achieving a 0-100 km/hr time of just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/hr. This makes the V8 Vantage as quick as the outgoing V12 variant.

Exterior Design

Aston Martin has significantly revised the exterior design of the new Vantage, giving it a more aggressive and dynamic appearance. The front features a large grille that extends nearly the entire width of the bumper, flanked by new intakes on either side. The bonnet has been redesigned with a more pronounced character line, drawing visual parallels with the One-77 supercar.

The car’s profile reveals subtle changes to the air ducts on the fenders, while the rear showcases a more assertive bumper and diffuser setup. The new Vantage is also 30 mm wider than its predecessor, enhancing its overall stance. Additional updates include new frameless mirrors and flush electronic door handles.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the new Vantage has undergone a complete overhaul, drawing inspiration from Aston Martin’s DB12. The cabin now features a completely new cockpit design, with an emphasis on connectivity and refinement. The most notable change is the elimination of the previous model’s Mercedes-sourced elements, replaced by an in-house-developed infotainment platform.

The centerpiece of the new interior is a 10.25-inch touchscreen that runs bespoke software, offering features like 3D live mapping and wireless smartphone mirroring. Despite the shift towards digitisation, Aston Martin has retained physical controls for key functions such as climate control, gear selection, and drive mode adjustments, catering to drivers who prefer tactile feedback.

The new Vantage also benefits from an all-new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster and a marked improvement in overall interior quality, fit and finish.

With its combination of enhanced performance, updated design and advanced technology, the new Vantage is set to make a strong impression among luxury car enthusiasts.
