2024 TVS Jupiter 110 gets a completely new design along with more features
2024 TVS Jupiter 110 launched with a starting price of Rs. 73,700/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). This marks the first significant update to the model since its initial release eleven years ago, offering a new engine, enhanced features and updated styling. The price increase is minimal, with a rise of just Rs. 50/- from the previous version.
Key Updates and Features
Engine and Performance
The 2024 Jupiter 110 is powered by a new 113cc engine, which is derived from the Jupiter 125’s motor. The updated engine delivers a slight increase in power, producing 8 HP and 9.8 Nm of torque – up by 0.1 HP and 1 Nm respectively. A notable addition is the ‘iGO Assist’ micro-hybrid technology, a segment-first feature. This system includes a more powerful battery that is recharged during deceleration, providing extra power via an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) motor when needed.
Design and Practicality
The design of the 2024 Jupiter 110 has undergone a significant transformation. The scooter now features large LED DRLs with integrated turn signals at both the front and rear, giving it a sharper and more modern appearance. The body panels have also been redesigned.
Practical enhancements include a 5.1-litre fuel tank positioned under the floorboard, similar to the Jupiter 125, with a convenient filler opening on the front apron. The underseat storage capacity has been increased to 33 litres, accommodating two half-face helmets, though full-face helmets may still present a challenge.
Technology and Safety
Higher variants of the Jupiter 110 now come equipped with a Bluetooth-compatible digital display, offering features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call and notification alerts and voice assist. These functionalities can be accessed via the TVS SmartXconnect app, which allows for seamless integration with smartphones.
Safety features have also been updated, with the introduction of rapid flashing indicators during emergency braking, a feature becoming increasingly common in the motorcycle industry. Additionally, the indicators will automatically switch off either 100 meters or 20 seconds after a turn is made.
Variants and Pricing
The 2024 Jupiter 110 is available in four variants: drum, drum alloy, drum SmartXonnect and disc SmartXonnect, with six colour options across the range. While the starting price is set at Rs. 73,700/-, full pricing details for all variants are yet to be disclosed.
Competitive Landscape
In the highly competitive 110cc scooter segment, the TVS Jupiter 110 faces strong competition from established models such as the Honda Activa and the Hero Pleasure. How do you like the updated design? Let us know in the comments section below.
