The front profile of the new MG Gloster will get a completely new look. The front grille has been redesigned and looks huge in size with new styling elements inside. The SUV will get the split headlight setup with sleek DRLs on top and main headlight unit mounted on the bumper. The grille has been redesigned to lend it a sharper look than its predecessor.
The side profile will remain more or less the same but it will feature new alloy wheel design for a fresh look. The rear profile will be getting new tailgate design, sharper tail lights and redesigned bumper. We can expect the carmaker to offer new colour options with the updated SUV.
The interior of the Gloster will get multiple changes including revised dashboard with a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system, new controls in the centre console and many more updated to keep up with the competition.
Engine options for the new Gloster are likely to remain unchanged. It is currently powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor that puts out 161 BHP and 375 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that makes 215 BHP and 480 Nm of torque. Both engines are offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will be available with both 4×2 and 4×4 variants.
The MG Gloster will continue to rival the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and the likes in the Indian market. Pricing is likely to be increased marginally.
