New BMW 5-Series introduced in India in 530Li M Sport trim at the time of launch
BMW 5-Series LWB launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 72.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). Initially, it will be available in a single trim – 530Li M Sport. The sedan is available in a long wheelbase version for the first time in India. However, the i5 is offered in a short wheelbase version only.
The sedan is locally assembled in India at the BMW India’s Chennai plant. Bookings commence across all authorised dealerships and on their official website. Deliveries will start by September 2024.
You can choose from a variety of service plans according to duration and mileage. The packages cover Condition Based Service (CBS) and maintenance work with plans Starting from 3 yrs / 40,000 kms, package extension available up to 10 yrs / 2,00,000 kms. An option to extend the warranty program up to 10 years is also available.
BMW India Financial Services offer customised and flexible financial solutions including extended warranty, BMW Service Inclusive package, BMW Secure package (covering the entire loan tenure) and one year vehicle insurance at a monthly instalment starting at Rs. 75,555/- per month. Additionally, customers can opt for a buyback assurance of 72% after 3 years.
The BMW 530Li M Sport is available in four metallic paintworks – Mineral White, Phytonic Blue, M Carbon Black and Sparkling Copper Grey. For the first time, BMW 5 Series features a fully vegan interior upholstery. The choice of dual-tone upholstery combinations includes Veganza, Copper Brown / Atlas Grey and Maritime / Black options.
The sedan is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine mated to a 48V mild-hybrid assist that produces 258 BHP and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It does 0-100 km/hr in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr.
Some of the features include 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 14.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment, four-zone climate control, front seat ventilation, matrix LED headlamps, 18-speaker 655W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, six USB-C ports, panoramic glass roof and more.
The new BMW 5-Series competes with the likes of Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, Lexus ES and the likes.
